Storage on boats is always at a premium. It takes careful planning and organization to make sure we have enough food and spare parts available when we need them. After all, we can’t just zip out to the corner store to buy milk whenever we run out.
With this in mind Sharlene and our friend David–you may remember David from our post One Thing Led to Another–have created access to some previously inaccessible space in our third cabin.

Cambria was designed with a small third cabin–a guest bedroom. It’s very small–too small for guests really. We use it as a storage area. Most of the space is occupied by our freezer. Under the cabin floor is a fair bit of useable storage space but because of the freezer we can’t access it. Sharlene has worked with David to create side access doors to the space. David is a very good carpenter so he was able to cut out the access and reuse the wood to make secure doors into the space.
They look and work great!
Looks very professional.
