As we dropped the anchor off Navadra Island a group of black tipped reef sharks swam over to check us out. They continued to circle our boat off and on while we were there. I did end up going swimming but once I was in the water the sharks stayed clear of us. One did swim near the boat but he was still too far away to get good video on the Go Pro. That’s why there is no underwater footage.
As cool as it was to see these sharks, the fact that they came around the boat means that they have come to associate boats with food, which is unfortunate.
