You may think from the photos we post that days are always sunny, the beaches are always sandy and our afternoons are spent sipping drinks with little paper umbrellas in them. Unfortunately, that is not the case.
There are always a million things to do on a boat. Cambria is a well made and well maintained boat but still there is always something to do.

Our job is to identify what needs to be done and when to do it–this summer, this winter, this spring and before we head offshore.
Here are some of our short term projects:
- re-do the running rigging
- change the engine oil, oil filter and fuel filters
- Change the raw water impeller
- service the fridge
- service the water maker
- Re-mark the anchor chain
- fix things that break while we’re doing the items listed above
I’m sure there are more things to do but that’s a start. The awesome thing is that most of these jobs can be done while anchored off a sandy beach and at the end of the day we can enjoy a beautiful sunset while sipping a drink with a little paper umbrella in it.
A boat is a make work project just like a husband is to his wife. They come with a ” Honey do list” and they are both feminine.
