Hola! We have arrived in Ensenada, Mexico and have fulfilled our number one goal while here–to take Spanish lessons for a week. That is now checked off our list.
We enrolled in a school called Pacific Spanish Institute for 6 hours a day for 5 days. We had been learning Spanish with an App but ‘in person’ is always better. It was and still is overwhelming at times but we now have some rules and vocabulary to practice and memorize. I’m sure we will be fluent in no time. (Ya, right)
A highlight of the week was to learn how to make tacos de pescado–fish tacos. They were yummy!

Nice apron, Rob! 🙂

Why the mask? Back to school for the schoolteachers. That is great and knowing a second language is a plus. Some stormy weather here. Power was out yesterday for about 3 hours. A few very strong guests this afternoon. New hot tub pump installed, and it is nosier than the old one unfortunately. Chris has been working hard on trying to dampen down the vibrations

When cooking and handling food we wore masks just to be safe.

I wonder how long you will be in Mexico for. My house in Acapulco is having work done until mid December but then you’d be so welcome to stay there any time. I’m there mid December until NYE.

We will be in Mexico until about March. We are meeting our kids for Christmas in Puerto Vallarta. Then we will sail more south. Possibly to Acapulco. We will keep your offer in mind. Thanks. Too bad we couldn’t see you at Christmas. So close…
